The main trade fairs for the entire rubber and tire retreading ecosystem take place between June 26
The 2024 editions of EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW, the main business events for the rubber market, are about to begin. From June 26 to 28, EXPO CENTER NORTE in São Paulo will be the stage for the presentation of the latest innovations and trends in the rubber, tire and component ecosystem in the most varied segments.
EXPOBOR reaches its 15th edition as the largest and leading rubber technology event in Latin America. Every two years, leaders from sectors such as the automotive industry, mobility, footwear, oil, pneumatics, steel, electronics, construction, hospitality, among others, come together to present products, solutions, innovations and machinery for the production of rubber artifacts.
PNEUSHOW, also in its 15th edition, is the only event focused exclusively on tire retreading in the world. The fair brings together manufacturers, dealers, retreaders and transporters to drive the evolution of technology on wheels and contribute to a more sustainable society. For 2024, the fairs are bigger: there will be more than 100 exhibitors from sectors such as automotive, electrical and electronics, construction and sanitation, machinery and equipment, mining and security, oil and gas, clothing and footwear, health, pulp and paper, chemicals and petrochemicals and entertainment. Compared to the last edition, EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW grew by 35%. Around 8,600 visitors are expected to visit the 8,000 square meters of space at EXPO CENTER NORTE over the three days of the fair
In addition to the larger number of exhibitors, EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW are more globalized this year. While in the previous editions, two years ago, only one exhibitor from China was present, in 2024 the events will welcome 48 exhibitors from eight countries: Germany, Canada, China, the United States, India, Italy, Thailand and Turkey, occupying more than a thousand square meters.
As well as presenting new products and trends, EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW will feature a program of talks and debates with industry experts, who will present ideas, strategies and trends for the future of the segment. There will be more than 30 hours of programming, which can be seen in detail on the fairs’ official website .
In addition to the extensive program, the fairs are promoting the first editions of the Expobor Brasil Award and the Renova Pneu Award.
Created to highlight and encourage the Brazilian rubber artifacts market, the Expobor Brasil Award has the expertise of FRANCAL, EXPOBOR and the seal of approval of the Union of Rubber Artifacts and Tire Retreading Industries of the State of São Paulo (SINDIBOR) and the Brazilian Rubber Artifacts Industry Association (ABIARB). The main mission is to recognize innovative products and projects that cover the entire rubber ecosystem, as well as offering a unique opportunity for companies, brands and professionals to gain recognition and strengthen their image in the rubber ecosystem.
The Renova Pneu 2024 Award, in turn, is an initiative promoted by FRANCAL and PNEUSHOW, with the support of the Brazilian Association of Tire Retreaders of the State of São Paulo (ARESP), and the Brazilian Association of the Tire Retreading Segment (ABR), with the aim of recognizing and celebrating excellence, innovation and sustainability in the tire retreading sector.
The first edition of the Expobor Brasil Award has nine categories: Sustainability and Social Responsibility, Contribution to the Industry, Education, Training and Capacity Building, Quality and Excellence in Manufacturing, Encouraging Entrepreneurship, Partnerships and Collaboration in the Industry, Innovation in Production Processes, Women in the Rubber Industry and Students. The winners in each category receive the Expobor 2024 trophy, a visibility package for the next edition of the fair, a digital certificate and the Expobor seal, which can be used for two years.
The Renova Pneu Award has the following categories: Tire Retreading Supplier, Distributors, Innovation in Agricultural Technology and Specific Tires, Tire and Accessory Manufacturers, Transport and Logistics, Marketing Strategies, Retreaders, Retreading Machinery and Equipment, Sustainability in Retreading, Automotive Centers, Retreading Tools and Accessories, Raw Materials for Retreading and Women in Retreading.
In addition to the categories, both the Expobor Brasil Award and the Renova Pneu Award elect one winner each for the Excellence category, which is designed to recognize a single project/product that gets the most votes out of all the categories. This distinction is unique and reserved for absolute excellence, and therefore awards a special prize to the winners: an international trip to a relevant event in the respective sector.
Voting is open and can be done by visitors to the 15th EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW: totems will be available at EXPO CENTER NORTE until 3pm on June 27. On the same day, at 7pm, the winners of the Expobor Brasil Award and the Renova Pneu Award will be announced at a major awards ceremony. Big names from the rubber sector will present the trophies and be part of this great celebration.
